2009 Member Expectations

*  Meet and play golf with other members.

*  Check the Wacky Women's website (http://ak-wackywomengolf.com) for announcements, weekly games and other events.  There is also a bulletin board at Anchorage Golf Course (AGC), located in the women's locker room where announcement are placed.

*  Join the ladies after your round in the clubhouse to enjoy snacks and refreshments.

*  Pull the weekly game off of our website.  Each week's game will be on the site by Thursday mornings.

*  If you would like to receive your individual player statistics at the end of the season, post your individual 9-hole score after each round.  The following is some direction on posting your score:

     -   Go to our website and post your score

     -  You must post a minimum of 3 (9-hole) rounds of golf.

     -  If you play a full round (18-holes), you can only post the first 9-holes for that round

     -  9 is the HIGHEST score that can be recorded on any hole

*  Team captains keep track and post your teams overall score:

     -   Pick a team captain who will keep track of the teams overall score and will post them to the website

     -  The team captain should write each players first and last name on the scorecard, which will be needed for accurate posting.

     -  9 is the HIGHEST numerical score than can be recorded for any person on the scorecard.

*  Help each other on the course:

    -   Watch where each player hits their ball.  Search for balls no longer than 3-5 minutes.

     -  Give encouragement

     -  Seasoned players help teach beginners basic golf etiquette, including bringing your cart up alongside the green so when your done putting, you can quickly move off to the next tee; carry an extra ball; play ready golf; and repair divots and ballmarks.

*  Keep the pace of the game going:

     -  If your ball is not in the hole within 9 strokes, pick-up your ball, record 9 on the scorecard and proceed with the team to the next hole - NO EXCEPTION

     -  If you miss the ball after two attempts, pick-up your ball and take it to where another player on your team has shot to, drop your ball there and attempt to hit it again.  Reminder, if you cannot get your ball in the hole with 9 strokes, pick-up and record 9 strokes on the scorecard.

     -  As a measurement to ensure that you are keeping pace, for pars 4 and 5, the team in front of you should be no more than one stroke away at any given time.  On par 3's, you should be on the tee-box ready to go when the team leaves the green.

     -  Do not play with more than 4 players on a team - NO EXCEPTIONS
