Nine & Wine - Women's Golf Event @ Anchorage Golf Course, Tuesday (June 30th). 4:30 pm will be a Full Swing Clinic; 5:30-6:30pm will be the tee-times for the event. It is a 4 person shamble (select best drive and play your ball in from there - record the teams one best score). Form your own group, or you will be paired with a fun group. 7:30pm starts the Wine Tasting and appetizers (2 reds & 2 whites). Limited to 32 participants of all skill levels. Signup by calling AGC and ask about event 522-3363. Any questions, call James Contreras 947-9723. Cost is $55 - includes 9-hole green fee, wine, appetizers and fun. Carts additional fee.

Hello Membership: Highstone's 7th annual couples tournament is scheduled for August 8, 2009. It will be shotgun start at 7:00 AM at Anchorage Golf Course. There are prizes for low net and low gross. Fee is $210.00 per couple that includes green fees, golf cart, food & prizes. The format is Holes 1-9 will be alternating shots and holes 10-18 will be best ball scamble. We start on the back nine. Anchorage Golf Course is celebrating Alaska 50th Anniversary of Statehood by holding a 'Public Shot Gun Non-Tournament' event on June 5th. If you register before May 29th, it is $50, otherwise it is $60. Your fee covers your green fee, cart and lunch. If you are interested, call or stop by AGC to pick up a registration form.

Support this years 'Rally for the Cure' fundraiser event by putting together a team to play or by signing up as a single player (we will put you with a team). Sign-up sheets are available on our website tab called "Rally for the Cure Fundraising Event". The deadline to signup is June 1st. This is not just for the Wacky Women members but for all women golfers to come out and support this fundraiser - so spread the word ladies! Your entry fee covers your green fee, cart and BBQ with the remainder all going towards our donation to this worthy cause. We will have prizes for the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place teams as well as the 'prettiest in pink' and 'most outlandish outfit' teams. This is always a fun event and this year will be no different as we also plan to have our special tables and activities happening at the various holes along the course. Hope to see many of you playing on June 18th in supporting this event.

Sad that "rally for a cure" has turned into a tournament deal vs. regular night of play. Big fan of the event, buy not sure I can make this: have to take off work; extra or/up'd entry fee reduces the direct contribution; bummer!
